All tires on the market go through a basic stage of track testing. Tires are tested on a variety of road surfaces, providing extremely precise and detailed measurements for the designer’s reference through subjective and objective evaluation.

The researchers used experimental data to validate the simulated mathematical model. Actual testing must be performed under specific and repeatable conditions, in a controlled environment that is best known in technology.

Constantly monitored asphalt conditions offer endless possibilities to tire and vehicle manufacturers, allowing various maneuvers and tests to be carried out in complete safety and control.

Most test tracks are equipped with a wet bottom system and one of the basic tests performed is the grip of the tires on wet asphalt.

Question:

To design the wetting system for the wet test track, HAPOO collaborates with professionals in the field and a technical team of auto and motorcycle racing tracks, which is also responsible for the research, development, certification and approval of cars, motorcycles and industrial vehicles.

Two systems need to be designed:

1 | Humidification system
A wetting system was designed with multiple nozzle sumps equipped with seven BS series nozzles. The nozzle water catcher is fixed on the shaft with special notches that allow the liquid to pass through. The water tank protects the wet system, minimizing the risk of contact when vehicles pass by, or foreign objects could enter the cracks.

2 | Wall of Water
The water wall system designed by HAPOO involved the use of three in-line water collectors perpendicular to the track, located in channels below the ground level, each equipped with 10 nozzles. The extent of coverage over the entire treated surface is complete and uniform, allowing water walls up to 3 meters high. A grille with openings for the nozzles protects the collector from the passage of vehicles.

Advantage:

Full cone nozzle:

Full cone nozzles produce a solid cone spray with a circular spray pattern in which coarse droplets are concentrated within a narrow spray angle to maximize their impact force per square surface unit.

Flat fan nozzle:

Standard flat fan nozzles are available in a variety of different capacities, spray angles, thread sizes and material options. Used in a variety of industrial applications, they produce a mist-like spray and provide just the right amount of impact.
