Lubrication is a crucial step in the production of kitchenware, especially before deep drawing. Deep drawing is the process of transforming sheet metal into pots or pans.

At this stage, the excessive friction of the stamping machine may damage the metal sheet or die, affecting the quality of the final product.

Lubrication reduces friction, making machining smoother and more precise. In addition, it facilitates the sliding of the sheet metal within the die during deep drawing. This helps to get a pan with an even surface and no blemishes.

In the metalworking industry for kitchenware production, the most common lubrication technique is to apply a lubricant to the surface of the metal plate, which can be oil, fat or a mixture of specific substances. In this case study, the coating was sprayed evenly on both sides of the metal sheet.

Recently, a customer contacted us seeking to solve a problem in the lubrication process. In addition to misting, lubricant dosing and distribution can be problematic. During this production stage, the initial stainless steel material is placed in the lubrication system in the form of discs. During the rotation of the metal disc, the lubricant is sprayed on both sides to form a fan-shaped spray. The disc is then ready for the deep drawing process.
